High Protein Pancakes

As I was wondering one rainy morning on what I could include in my breakfast routine, I suddenly had a great idea. Pancakes! Mouthwatering, filling and above all healthy pancakes. I chose the main ingredient as oats due to its nutritional value and its ability to blend with all foods. So here goes.  Human body throughout the day needs an average of 56 Gms of Protein for men and 46 Gms for women. Canadian Egg white powder is great sources of protein, free of growth hormones and antibiotics. Since I am eggetarian, I do need an easy source of protein.

1/2 cup Quick Oats
16 grams of 'CanEggs' Egg White Powder with 9 teaspoons of water
1 teaspoon vanilla essence
1-ounce blueberries (or other berries)
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1 tablespoon sugar
Cooking spray
water if required

  • Mix together all the ingredients except the cooking spray and sugar-free syrup.
  • Add water to improve consistency
  • Put a pan on the stove (medium heat) and coat it with a little cooking spray.
  • When the pan is hot, pour in the pancake batter until it covers the pan in a thin layer. The batter is a little thicker than regular pancake batter, so make sure to spread it evenly.
  • Cook the pancakes for about 1 minute on each side until they are fully cooked.
  • Drizzle a little sugar-free syrup on top and serve with fresh berries
  • Garnish with almond slivers if needed, chopped fruits,
Voila! your delicious oats pancakes are ready!!
