Blood Orange Smoothie Recipe

Fruit sometimes turns different colors to signal animals that it’s ripe and ready to consume, but blood oranges are unique.  They’re the only citrus to employ anthocyanins as pigmentation. They look like regular oranges but with dark red, raspberry-tasting flesh, and the colour is due to the presence of polyphenol pigments which can help prevent blood clots in humans, reduce blood sugar levels, and lower the risk of heart disease. When combined with yogurt, a fresh banana, and Caneggs’ protein powder, it makes a tasty beverage.

Ingredients

  • 1 scoop  Caneggs Egg White Powder
    • 1 cup blood orange juice
      • 1 frozen or fresh banana
        • Ice

          Instructions

          • Blend in a blender 2x as long as you usually do.
          • Serve and Enjoy!

          People Who’ve Made This

Tried CanEggs powder with my morning shake, and it enhanced my protein intake, no after taste. Prompt delivery, and the best of all, that it’s a Canadian product. I have been buying Dried Egg Whites from CanEggs for the last year and a half.  I make my own protein drink and it turns out really great.”
